Summer is Coming
Summer is coming-
The seagulls know,
They fight for food and scraps we throw.
Summer is coming-
The Sand flies know,
They irritate us wherever we go.
Summer is coming-
The Sun knows,
The hot metal slide burns our toes.
Summer is coming-
The campers know,
The crowded highway moves real slow.
Summer is coming-
The people know,
They're getting new togs while they wait to go.
Summer is coming-
The students know,
Sitting in the classroom eager to go.
Summer is coming-
The Ice cream van knows
They start by handing out Gelato.

For Writing we wrote our own version of Winter is coming by Jill Brassell and Since summer is close, we decided to use that.
