SLJ Paying it Forward

In the mid-1930s, things began to change for the better in New Zealand. More
people were able to find work and receive a steady paycheck. They were still
careful, however, with their money and rarely, if ever, bought treats or gifts for
one another.
Imagine that you were able to travel back in time to visit a family in the 1930s.

Summer is coming-

The seagulls know,

They fight for food and scraps we throw.

Summer is coming-

The Sand flies know,

They irritate us wherever we go.

The Sun knows,

The hot metal slide burns our toes.

The campers know,

The crowded highway moves real slow.

They're getting new togs while they wait to go.

Sitting in the classroom eager to go.

Flowchart on How Trees affect Life

Since our Hub is named after a tree we wanted to learn more about it. So my group and I made this Flowchart on how trees affect life. I learnt that when the trees produce oxygen it stops pollution. I hope you learnt something new too

 This Week we had a Steam fair Sharing the things we learnt and the things we made. Our Group Made a Mini Golf course using a Sphero as the ball. A Sphero is a little robot. We controlled it by using our Chromebooks. Our Group made 5 courses and obstacles for the Sphero. We called it The LRL's Golf course. LRL Stands for Loveleen, Ruby and Lara. Lots of parents came and enjoyed the projects we made. I hope you like our projects. What do you think of The Mini golf course?
